NINe things to make and do
Pick one activity, or two. Each one is hands-on, and everything the children create goes home with them.
EVERY SUNDAY
fabric toy making
Children get cotton and socks to make a toy, then accessorise it
Cookie decoration
Each child gets four cookies and a sugar cone, and learns different ways to decorate them.
TOTE BAG Painting
Each child paints a fabric tote bag with fabric colours to make their own pattern.
clay planter
Paint a coconut shell or clay pot, pot a plant in soil and add a message to make it personal.
puppet making
Make a puppet face from paper and its dress from fabric, then learn puppetry with voice modulation.
canvas Painting
Each child gets a canvas and colours to create their own artwork.
frame card making
Paint a sketch and a small wooden frame, cut the picture out and fix it in place
TIE and dye
Fold a cotton cloth, dye it and make an interesting pattern for a scarf of their own.
story telling/role play
We tell a themed story, then act it out together in simple costumes we make ourselves.
